Zodiac changes

I heard about this 13th zodiac sign in a video I watched on Sunday. I think it was one of the videos by OutbackZack, but I'm not 100% sure on that. However, curiously, I decided to look it up just not, and it turns out that it's not at all a joke. How does this change everything? Well, some people may not be affected at all, but it seems that I am one of the people who will be affected by this change.

In the past, I used to be an Aquarius. Now, however, I'm supposedly a Capricorn. Seriously? Why can't you stick to the original 12? Why is there suddenly a 13th sign? The reason given in the article I'm reading is that the Earth has "wobbled" out of alignment with the Moon.

So, does this affect you? Below is a list of the "new" zodiac dates.

Capricorn: Jan 21st - Feb 16th
Aquarius: Feb 17th - Mar 11th
Pisces: March 12th - Apr 18th
Aries: Apr 19th - May 13th
Taurus: May 14th - June 21st
Gemini: June 22nd - July 20th
Cancer: July 21st - Aug 10th
Leo: Aug 11th - Sept 16th
Virgo: Sept 17th - Oct 30th
Libra: Oct 31st - Nov 23rd
Scorpio: Nov 24th - Nov 29th
Ophiuchus: Nov 30th - Dec 17th
Sagittarius: Dec 18th - Jan 20th

How does this affect you? Leave a comment and let me know whether your zodiac has changed. If it has, state what sign you USED to be and what you supposedly are now.

  1. It seems kind of crazy how they split it up.... The zodiacs aren't even close to being almost equal in the amount of days. It seems like the previous zodiacs were split up pretty evenly. Some are less than a month while others are more than a month... Doesn't make sense to had an extra one anyway since we do only have 12 months right? Besides my original zodiac is Gemini and I fit that personality far better than my supposed "new" zodiac. Silly stuff... just like taking away the planet pluto... Pluto has always been a planet so why all of a sudden unclassify it as one. This is all stuff we learned in grade school so why change it now? How are we supposed to help our kids with homework when they are constantly changing everything that has always been known for hundreds of years.

  2. Most people follow Western Astrology which of course is your birthday. This type of astrology has to do with the sun, not the stars like a lot of people like to think. There are several types of astrology.. And if you follow the zodiac signs you see in newspapers, magazines, etc.. your sign is still the same.
