An Online War?

I'm amazed by the stupidity of some people online.

I was looking for a video to show a friend that I haven't seen in quite a while that was made by a YouTube user called TheAmazingAtheist because I wanted to show her this one video called "Justin Bieber Sucks", because I found it kind of amusing.

While searching for it, I came across a video called "Declaration of War Against Justin Bieber Haters" by ericDouglace. I was amazed at how stupid this kid turned out to be. In the video, he's threatening to hack Justin Bieber haters accounts and post up their personal information, pictures, addresses and all on a website. All this because people don't like the same music as he does? He's also threatening to get people arrested and all.

Posting a threat like this online is not a good idea. Why? Think about it. Threatening to hack computers, and post peoples' personal information online is illegal, ok dude? People saying they hate Justin Bieber and voicing their opinion on his stuff is not. If anyone is going to end up in trouble with the law, Eric, it's you because voicing an opinion isn't illegal, and it's a right of all human beings really.

A friend linked me to a reply to this 15 year old kid's video called "Re: Declaration of War Against Justin Bieber Haters" by MrRepzion, who also made a spoof of the old Chris Crocker video "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!", only it was mocking Eric about Justin; "LEAVE JUSTIN ALONE!".

More amusingly, a few days after this threat to all Justin Bieber, he posted "Update On The War Against J.B. Haters". In this video, he made one of the BIGGEST Internet mistakes that you could ever make. He threatened 4chan. Anyone who has heard of 4chan should know that it's one website you really don't want to mess with in any way...it's a huge mistake. In this video, he also mentions that he is fearing for his life. Then, why don't you wake up? Threatening people online or offline isn't a good way to feel safe. Someone is going to end up hurting you eventually.

He asks haters to put themselves into Justin's shoes and see how they would feel. Ok. If I were to do that, I know how I'd feel. I'd feel very, very awkward if I saw these videos. I think I'd even call it a day on the career if I had someone being THAT creepy about liking my stuff. It's scary, dude. Maybe you should have put yourself in his shoes before posting the video. You're not making him feel good about himself having fans that devoted to him. You're most likely scaring the living fuck out of him!

  1. Right on my friend. I guess that's why he ended his vlog's by crying "I only did it to be famous...I seriously need help." At first I thought it was funny but now I see how truly sad and pathetic this kid was. Makes me think about how much stock people put in becoming famous. I don't believe Eric failed I believe society failed Eric. Poor kid. Ah well, you live and you learn.
