Ever have to change?

I'm really not sure what I should do when it comes to this one friend of mine, Leila.

A couple of days ago, she told me she was writing a song called "Tears Call Me Home". Jokingly, I asked her why they called her "Home" and not "Leila". Anyone who knows me know I'm just being stupid like always, and it's not because I find something crap or hilarious. But, to her, that's how this seems. She thinks that because of the joke, I find her stuff shit and hilarious, when it's meant to be serious, from the heart kinda stuff. I know that it's serious stuff, and isn't meant to be a joke.

Apparently though, you should only make jokes about things which you think are a joke. This makes me wonder what comedians do then. They can take something serious that isn't funny, and turn it into something funny. They don't need to find the original content hilarious to begin with to make a small, or large joke out of it, do they? Does the source for any joke have to be hilarious at first to be able to make a joke out of it? The joke I made was only a very small one too, just about the title, not the entire song. What amazes me is that she'll laugh if I make a joke about someone elses stuff, whether I like it or hate whatever it is, but when it comes to her own stuff, it's not funny at all and if I'm joking about it, it's because it's "crap".

What I'm going to have to do is stay away from her for a few days, and hope that she drops all the stuff about me making that joke. PLEASE DROP IT!
