My 5 year old self

Dad came down yesterday to give me my present for my birthday. We had a small chat and Mom told him about the seizure I had a couple of weeks back. I showed him the scar I have on my ear, and Mom explained that her boyfriend, Sean, caught me as I fell in the kitchen, but wasn't quite fast enough to stop me from hurting myself. No idea how much worse my injuries would have been if he didn't catch me. Would they have been the same, or would they have been even worse?

After she'd said this, I told Dad about how after the seizure I pushed Sean out of the kitchen and down the hallway with quite some force. Sean was surprised at the strength of it. In fact, I am too. For my body frame, I really don't look strong at all. But, it seems I have more strength than I look like I should have. This is when Dad told me something I did when I was 5 years old and was in hospital to get something done to my ears. Mom remembered when Dad had told me this story. Obviously, I don't remember this ever happening, so it's lost memory in my mind, but not in Mom and Dad's minds.

What had happened was this nurse was going to give me an injection so they could sort out whatever the hell they were gonna sort out with my ears, but my 5 year old self clearly did not want this injection since I grabbed this nurse and threw them over a table. I laughed a little at the image because it's funny to picture a 5 year old kid throwing a full grown adult over a table. I've never liked needles, and clearly, the 5 year old me REALLY didn't like them. Haha.

I know. That whole story sound unbelievable. But, this isn't something I remember. It's something my Mom and Dad remembered. If it's all made up, it was some creation of theirs. I honestly wish there was some CCTV like footage of it because honestly, I would like to see a video of me doing this.

Anyway, here's a couple of questions for anybody reading this.

  1. Have you ever done anything that just seems so unbelievable as a kid?
  2. Have you ever witnessed a kid do something that seems impossible for a kid to do?

Please answer either, or both, in the form of a comment.
