Completed Silent Hill: Shattered Memories today. I got lost several times in the game when it came to the chase scenes. Those scenes are a pain in the ass if you have no idea in which direction you're meant to be running. The first chase scene was simple enough. I never got lost in that one, but all the others? If it wasn't for reading this walkthrough, I'd have been lost in these chases forever. That's not good, is it? I got a bit of a surprise when I saw who the therapist was talking to throughout the game. Anyone who hasn't played it, like me, would assume that the therapist is talking to Harry Mason (the player character) throughout the game...reliving his story and what happened. But, it isn't.
I'll place a spoiler of it below. Do not click "Read More..." if you plan on playing the game because it will kind of spoil the ending. Well, it won't completely spoil it since there are several endings, but if like me you assume the therapist is talking to Harry, you may be disappointed to find out who he's actually talking to if you want to play the game but haven't yet.
I'll have two more new games to complete at some time this week. I already have one of the games, which is currently in my XBox 360. A game called Deadly Premonition. The other game that I should be getting some time soon is Silent Hill: Homecoming, also for the XBox 360. I know these games aren't completely new, but I mean new in the "I only just bought them" way.
You discover that the therapist in the game is talking to Harry Mason's daughter, Cheryl. It surprised me. I've never completed the original Silent Hill game, but I'm curious, do you discover that Harry Mason is actually dead in the game...that he's just a memory of Cheryl? That's what is said in Shattered Memories. You find out from the police woman that Harry Mason died 18 years ago. Is that true of the original game too, or is it just something only mentioned in Shattered Memories?
I'll play more of Deadly Premonition tomorrow. After completing Shattered Memories, I decided to watch more X-Files. I'm currently on Season 4, but close to reaching the end of that season. There's about 6 episodes left after this one I'm currently watching. The episode I'm watching currently is called "Max".
