I'm only just gotten out of bed, and now I'm really curious about where Sharlet is. I haven't seen her online since Mike left that comment on my Blogger entry aimed at him. I guess there are only two real reasons for this. Either she's really busy, or Mike is attempting to keep her offline because he wasn't too happy about what I said.
I was thinking, as I climbed into bed, that she'd most likely come online as soon as I fall asleep. I log online now, and there are no offline messages from her or anything. I just hope everything is ok.
It was my brother's birthday yesterday. At around about 5:30pm, we all (everyone but Sean) went out to a restaurant near Liskeard called Route 38, some American style restaurant. It was actually a nice place. I went ahead and got BBQ Chicken, which came with fries, tomatoes, sweetcorn and mushrooms. I had to eat around the tomatoes and mushrooms, because I really don't like them.
I couldn't believe how hot the BBQ Chicken was. The BBQ sauce...was really hot tasting. Nothing wrong with it, but damn was it hot.
I'd definitely go back and eat there again. Hopefully, we'll get to some other time. It'll probably end up being on someone's birthday though. It's not a place someone would go to regularly because the food can be quite expensive if you're going together in a group.
So glad that Sean didn't come along. If he had, we'd all get bitched at and wouldn't be allowed to leave unless we ate every little bit of food, even the stuff you don't like. I really hate how he seems to assume he's our step-father now. He was gonna come along, but my brother said he wouldn't go if Sean went. I wouldn't have either. I'm pretty sure if he did, the only people who went would be Mom and Sean. No-one really likes the moron.
Anyway, I'm sure at some point, Mom and Sean are going to go to that place together, alone, on some sort of date kinda thing since Mom liked the place.
Thinking back to Saturday, when Dad came down, he asked if there was any new news, like whether I'd had a job yet. I told him no, and that I keep looking. I went into town Friday, to put some money in the bank, and looked around for jobs, and there was nothing. What surprised me is Mom didn't tell him I wasn't trying hard enough, something she tends to do to me. She told him that there's not really much going around here, because jobs tend to be given to immigrants due to the fact they're more likely to work for less money
I really do wish I could get a job though. You'd think that it wouldn't be all that hard, but it's amazing how difficult it is.
