Kill the wolves? How could you!?

I can't believe this heartless e-mail I received today from a Facebook group called "Save the Wolves". Apparently, in Wyoming, the Feds have agreed to a plan to kill (shoot-on-sight) 100s of wolves. Why? What the hell did the wolves do to anyone!?

Here's what the e-mail actually says. Hopefully some people will voice their outrage at this plan.

BREAKING: Feds Agree to Shoot-On-Site Wolf Plan in Wyoming

Dear Wildlife Fans,

Jess, Anne and Defenders of Wildlife online team are brining you some breaking news! Just hours ago, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar and new Fish and Wildlife Service Director Dan Ashe announced federal approval of a wolf management plan in Wyoming that would allow hundreds of wolves to be shot on sight.

We need your help to tell the Fish and Wildlife Service that you’re outraged by their capitulation to anti-wolf extremists in Wyoming. Call the Service toll-free at:

1-800-344-WILD (9453)

And deliver this simple message:

“My name is [Your Name] and I’m calling from [Your Town], [Your State] to let Director Dan Ashe know that I’m outraged by the Fish and Wildlife Service’s approval of Wyoming’s wolf management plan. This proposal is unscientific and unconscionable and would allow wolves to be shot on site in most areas of the state outside Yellowstone National Park.”

Please let us know that you called. We’ll be monitoring public response closely and will report out on your calls Friday on the Defenders blog. Click here: http://dfnd.us/oXwgG2

Wyoming’s plan would allow hundreds of wolves to be shot on site and would also sabotage wolf migration from Wyoming to Colorado, Utah and other areas where wolves have historically made their homes.

Director Ashe, the recently appointed as nation’s top wildlife protector, needs to know that Wyoming’s wolf plan is unacceptable. There will be a formal comment on the proposed deal with the state, but it’s important that conservationists like you and me make our voices heard in these vital hours following this awful announcement.

Please call now.

Thank you for your help with this urgent matter,

Jess, Anne and the Defenders of Wildlife online team!

Take action now by calling:

Although I would happily call them, I won't be able to. It may be a free number in the USA, but for some reason, I can't help but think that there will most likely be some sort of charge to call from another country outside of the USA. Usually when I get these kinds of e-mails, there is some kind of online form or something that you can fill out, so that everyone inside and outside of the USA can voice their disgust. Doesn't seem that way with this one.

I just hope that a lot of Americans will be against this majorly fucked up act.

If you happen to find some kind of online form for this thing, please link it in the comments.

Thanks to anyone who voices their disgust on this.
