For anyone who hasn't already seen these gameplay videos from IGN, here are the videos (uploaded to YouTube) for you to watch.
These videos were the ones that contained some of the rediculous comments I posted in my previous entry about the game.
I hope you enjoy these.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Gameplay.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director Commentary. You may notice that this area of the game is also shown in the next three part video. However, there are difference in the playthrough of the area in this one and the next one.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director Playthrough Part 1.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director Playthrough Part 2. There is a comment on this video that I've been curious about myself. It reads "Where is Walk through part 1.5?". Why? When you watch Part 1, you'll see the director get to a certain point, then in Part 2, it seems to have skipped quite a bit. However, this one continues into the next video. So, why was a certain amount skipped between Part 1 and Part 2?
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director Playthrough Part 3.
After seeing these gameplay videos, I decided to check out a playthrough of the very first Deus Ex game. The second game was no where near as good from what I've heard. I've no idea if the first game will run on my computer as it's old, but it may be worth downloading just to see if it will. That way, I can get a feeling for the game series. A lot of the requirements, my computer surpasses, but I'm not sure if my graphics card is powerful enough for it. That's the main thing I'm unsure about.
One comment that amuses me about Deus Ex: Human Revolution, is that supposedly, consoles are ruining gaming by being too linear. However, if you look at games like Red Dead Redemption, there's nothing linear about it. You can play the game for hours and never get into the story. That's not linear at all. Now, Deus Ex: Human Revolution may be a little more linear than that game, but from what I've seen, Deus Ex was just as linear as the upcoming game. Deus Ex was a PC game. Why are PC gamers bitching about games being linear on a console when a lot of games I've played on the PC are linear too? Most non-linear games on PC are multiplayer games, games like World of Warcraft.
Games with a story that are mainly offline games, like Deus Ex, tend to be linear. Why blame consoles for mostly linear games when the PC has had just as many, if not MORE games that are linear.
Console fans can bitch about PC games, just as much as PC fans can bitch about consoles. Can't gamers just get along? Why do gamers have to constantly bitch about consoles and PCs being better than one another? They all play games.
Every gamer has their preference in consoles/PCs as well as games.
It's pointless to whine and bitch about Nintendo being better than Playstation...or XBox being better than Nintendo...or PC being better than everything. Everyone has their own preference. It's completely pointless to belittle someone just because they do not like the same things as you.
I'm not sure how many people will agree with me on that. I know that plenty of YouTube commenters won't agree with me on that. I'm sure that I may end up getting a few comments telling me shit like "You suck. PC rules!" or something similar.
