The town carnival is supposed to be on Saturday. Now, you've got to wonder, is there actually going to be anyone there last year? With the same person seemingly winning year after year, regardless of effort put into their carnival float, a lot of people seem to have been giving up. Last year, there was hardly anyone there. What will happen this year? Will people return, or are the floats going to almost be non-existant?
I'm really hoping the people who made the large wooden figures of a tiger, and a rat, will be returning. Last year, they weren't around, and I'm pretty sure they weren't around the year before. But, who can blame them after they put a lot of effort into the stuff, and don't even win the grand prize, while one person seemingly wins every year, with minimum or no effort at all.
Yesterday, I discovered that the special editions of Monkey Island 1 and 2 are being released on CD on the 9th September, 2011 in the UK. I went ahead and preordered it because it's something I'm really interested in, being a fan of the Monkey Island series.
I found playthroughs of the games too. The games are technically already out, but only available for download, well, on the PS3 and X-Box 360. I'm not sure if they're already on CD or downloadable for PC, but obviously, they ARE on the PC as well as those two consoles.
I'm buying it for the 360 as my PC isn't really powerful enough to run it.
For anyone interested, here are the longplays of the two games.
PC Longplay [063] The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (Part 1 of 3).
PC Longplay [063] The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (Part 2 of 3).
PC Longplay [063] The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (Part 3 of 3).
PC Longplay [114] Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: Lechuck's Revenge
I'm more than sure now that Sharlet isn't allowed to talk to me because of what I said to her boyfriend in the blog entry aimed at him. She signed online, but as soon as I went to PM her, she signed out. One less friend to talk to now.
