Sadly true...

I was looking through my Facebook page when I came across this status from a friend.

SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT ... If you cross the North Korean border illegally, you get 12 yrs. hard labor. If you cross the Afghanistan border illegally, you get shot. Two Americans just got eight years for crossing the Iranian border. If you cross the UK border illegally you get a job, a drivers license, food stamps 4 tesco, a place to live, health care, housing & child benefits, education, & a tax free business for 7 yrs ...No wonder we are a country in debt. Re-post if you agree ???

It's sad that it's actually true as far as I know. I've been having problems trying to obtain a job, and oddly enough, people who don't live in the UK have a very easy time getting a job. I was thinking about posting that status on my Facebook, but they thought that it would just be considered spam by a lot of friends. So, I'm sharing it here instead.

Now, if you live in the UK, let me know if you've been having the same problems as I am with getting a job.

I can kind of understand why some companies WOULD hire people who aren't UK citizens. They'll work for less money than UK citizens, but still, they don't seem to realize how much of a pain it is for us. It makes me wonder if some company bosses put themselves in the shoes of unemployed citizens. How would they feel about being turned down for countless jobs just because the boss can hire someone who will work for a lot cheaper? It's not a very nice feeling at all.
