A friend of mine, Lacey, had a status on Yahoo! telling people to check out Ryan's articles on a website called Triond. Curious, I clicked the link in her status, and then went on to check out Triond. I was surprised by one article I saw on the front page. It was titled Got Red Hair? You May be a Minority Very Soon.
I decided to check it out to see what it was about, and discovered that people don't want redheaded kids. Here's one small paragraph from it.
According to Cryos International, one of the largest sperm banks in the world, clients do not want their children to have red hair. The sperm bank is now turning away sperm donors with red hair because the demand for clients that want children with red hair simply isn’t there.
Why don't people want redheaded kids? It's kind of sad. I personally don't think there's anything wrong with redheads. Infact, a lot of redheaded chicks are actually really cute. I could understand why people may not want a redheaded son (I reckon a lot of guys wouldn't wanna be redheads), but what about females? Are redheaded females really THAT bad?
Someone really needs to explain to me why there is so much hatred toward redheads.
