Hold the line!

Lately, a company has been calling the house trying to push off a service in which they supposedly stop companies you don't want calling you from calling unless they give some password first. Oddly enough, they're the ones I don't want to have to listen to, yet they never let up. So, I figure next time they call, I'm going to say I'm not the person they're after, but I'll go get him, and as they do, say "Hold the line please.". Then, I'm gonna attach the phone to my speakers and play the song Hold The Line on repeat until they get annoyed and hang up. I'll continue to do it until they give up calling altogether.

The one downside to this plan is that I need to make sure Mom's boyfriend isn't upstairs so he can't hear me say this stuff. He'd ruin it by entering the room and saying something...which I don't want.

He's been a major pain in the ass recently too. When my brother got home from school, Mom's boyfriend told him to do his homework, and ended up insulting the hell out of me saying "You don't want to end up like your brothers, do you? Claiming unemployment, and sat at home all day online with no life until you retire." That describes him more than it describes me. I may not have a life in terms of offline friends, but then again, he doesn't either. I don't know of anyone who really likes the asshole. Also, I'm not claiming unemployment; he is. I'll admit I'm online a lot, but not 24/7 like he's claiming. I do go into town looking for jobs. The most I've seen him go out is into the garden for a smoke...shopping with Mom, or getting a ride down to the shops down the road, which is only a 2 minute walk. Why call me lazy when you can't even walk a 2 minute journey? He's not crippled or anything. No reason he can't walk, other than laziness.

Yesterday also proved his laziness, when Mom asked him for some help, he told her "I am helping, by staying out of the way." His next excuse was to say he was too sick, and the only suffering women do is when they give birth. That made me wonder...what the fuck does Mom see in him? He's a major fucking jerk...not only to her kids and all, but also to her. Why does she like him? It's so confusing!
