A simple chat

I spoke to my grandfather today when I went around to collect the Betterware catalogs. I didn't intentionally plan on talking to him, but I couldn't see the catalog I delivered to him in the window, so I rang the bell to ask if he'd put it out or not. He said he did, so I figured that Mom must have picked it up. I then continued on to ask "Have you heard?", curious as to whether my sister had had the guts to tell him about her being pregnant? He asked me "About what?", then immediately went onto say "About your sister?". I knew then that she had told him. I wonder how mad he'd gotten with her. It just ended up being a calm-ish sort of conversation with me, although he did seem a bit annoyed, calling her stupid and all. He also knew it was one of the Giddy's who knocked her up, and didn't seem pleased about that, and was asking me if he had a job and such. I told him that I didn't know, and that he'd most likely have nothing to do with my sister now that she's pregnant...if they were still seeing each other.

He told me that Mom had told him they'd finished a while back. Now, I wonder if Shane knows about it or not? If he doesn't, he may still be friends with her, but then, how long will that friendship last when it clearly shows that she's pregnant?

I had a bit of a laugh when I woke up today to hear Mom's boyfriend saying "See. I'm intelligent as well as stupid.". Seriously? He had problems spelling simple words. Everyday I've heard him asking Mom how to spell what should be extremely easy to spell. Words like wearing, meant, as well as a few others that are simple. I can't recall how many words there have been, but they are all simple words that someone who is meant to be fluent in English should know how to spell! Where's the intelligence? He likes to think he is smart when using the Internet, and thinks he knows everything about everything online, as if ANYONE knows everything about everything online. It's always amusing to see people who think they know everything about everything, yet can't work out how to do the simplest things.
