Counteracting stress

I had a little bit of a laugh earlier after a new friend suggested to me that I should take up some form of martial arts to counteract the stress caused by Mom and her boyfriend Sean. Curious about it, I decided to see what kind of schools there are in this area of the UK. It turns out that Tae Kwon Do is the most popular style in my area as a lot of the schools I found teach that.

Other forms listed were:
Muay Thai,
Vale Tudo,
Mixed Martial Arts,
Karate (I knew there had to be at least one school teaching this),
Wing Chun Kung Fu,
Tang Soo Do,
Bujinkan,
Jeet Kune Do,
Kali,
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu,
Sanshou,
Lau Gar Kung Fu,
Jujutsu,
Kenjutsu,
Zen Shin Goju Karate,
and Tai Chi.

Wow. I didn't realize there were so many styles in this area. I scanned over the list, and only really checked out two of the forms to see what they were about. One of them was bujinkan. After reading about that, I decided that it was one style that I should never learn as it focuses on "the disabling (breaking) of the attackers limbs and which can also intentionally cause their death.". Now, being aware that after any seizure I have there is a brief moment when I'm completely unaware of my actions and have no control over myself. I found out about this twice. Once after pushing Sean out of the kitchen, and down the hallway with one simple push. The other time, I punched him. None of this was intentional as I would never plan on hurting anyone on purpose. I guess the inner anger I have against Sean just decides to release itself when I'm unaware of my action. For that reason, it definitely is not a good idea to learn a skill that can intentionally kill a person because what if I used it against Sean when I know the style?
