Fox News

I'm sure this title will be misleading, but I figured it would be a fun title for this news story I just spotted on the front page of the British newspaper, The Sun. Now, the news story definitely isn't something to laugh about.

TWIN babies were mauled in their beds by a FOX after their parents left the back doors of their £1million house open.
Sisters Lola and Isabella Koupparis suffered face and arm injuries in the attack in Hackney, East London.
Last night the nine-month-old girls were in serious condition in hospital

The full story was then printed on page 9 of the paper.

A FOX which mauled twin babies crept into their room as their parents watched telly, it emerged yesterday.
The animal padded silently upstairs to where the nine-month-old girls were tucked up in bed and pounced on them.
One of the tots suffered face wounds and both had injuries to their tiny arms in the unprecedented attack.
The girls, Lola and Isabella Koupparis, were asleep at their family's £1million townhouse when the horror happened at 10pm on Saturday.
Police sources said their dad Nick and mum Pauline were watching TV unaware the fox had come in.
The couple, both 40, had left their wooden-framed patio doors open after temperatures tops 28°C. Their four-year-old son Max was also sleeping upstairs but was unhurt when the beast struck at trendy Victoria Park in Hackney, East London.
Mr Koupparis, a film company executive, is believed to have chased the fox away.
Both girls were rushed to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, where they needed emergency surgery.

Baited

Last night Isabella remained in intensive care while Lola was being treated on a separate ward.
Meanwhile humane baited fox traps were set up by pest controllers in the back gardens of houses on the street.
And cops went round telling residents to keep their doors and ground-floor windows closed. Neighbour Fatma Pekcam, 22, said "There have always been foxes around here and now they're so tame they're not afraid of anything.
"A few weeks ago we left the back doors open when it was hot and one ran into our living room. We had to chase it out with a broom."
Another neighbour added: "When the police and ambulances came, the parents were distraught."
The Metropolitan Police confirmed they had a report of a fox attack and that both girls were in a serious condition.
An RSPCA spokesman said: "It's extremely rare that anything like this would happen. I've never heard of it."
Mr Koupparis works as head of finance at London-based Leopard Films, a TV and movie production firm.
The only unprovoked fox attack on record happened in Edinburgh in 2004 when a woman of 88 was bitten.

Let's all hope that the two girl recover from this soon, and that no other children end up being attack by foxes.

Update: Regarding Rowland's Cursed Fun Fair, this year was also another year in which the weather wasn't completely terrible. The weather was actually pretty nice for almost the entire week. Today, however, is a much different story. The weather is awful! It is pouring with rain and is extremely windy.

Is this the fair's fault? No. I can't blame them because they left on the 4th June. Could 2011 be a 3rd year without terrible weather when they come? I guess we'll see. This is if I'm still in Looe when that time comes around next year.
