Times gone by

You can find the past creeping it's way into your mind a lot at certain times. It happens to me when I'm generally bored, and don't feel in the mood to entertain myself with a movie or a video game. I would be talking to some of my friends on Yahoo!, but currently no-one is on. Actually, I should say no-one is talking to me. There are a couple of friends online, however, they're idle or appear to be otherwise busy.

I miss the days when Yahoo! had user generated rooms that you could randomly wander into and meet people with similar interests to you. It was a good way to make new friends and share thoughts and opinions about your interests with. However, you could always count on some perverted people in the world to ruin it for everyone by creating rooms that should never really be allowed. Thanks to those people, we no longer have the user generated rooms.

Fast forward a couple of years. You're still online, alone. As for all your friends? They've all moved on. They have families, jobs, relationships and homes of their own. Where are you? You're sat jobless, lonely, no place of your own. You find yourself majorly envying all of your school friends, college friends, as well as your Internet friends. What happened in your life to bring it to a major halt? I wish I could really answer that honestly.

It's been several years since I've had an actual job. I lost my last one due to...medical problems. I've got to admit that was embarrassing. It wasn't anything extreme, but for some reason I kept needing to run to the bathroom to pee. I wasn't ever drinking a lot, so I can't understand why I needed to. It's understandable that I would lose that job though. Working as a cashier in a store, it's not very good to have to leave the checkout every few minutes, especially if it's a busy time in the store. Can't be helped though.

I walked into town on Thursday, and wandered around the streets, checking out every store etc for any signs of jobs going. All I found were countless stores I never knew existed (proving I should really walk into town more often). Not a single job. The only thing I did get were a lot of odd looks from people as I wandered the streets aimlessly, looking at everything. I must have seemed like an extremely lost tourist as I roamed those streets. I know my way around all the streets. I wasn't lost. Although, I will admit that if I were ever asked for directions from somewhere in town to another place in town, I probably wouldn't be able to give directions since I tend to forget what the street names are. Haha.

As I've had nothing to really do because of friends not talking, I've randomly been browsing websites such as 4chan Archives. Yeah. I'm sure there are a lot of Internet fanatics out there who know about 4chan. If you haven't, you should check out the archives at some time. It can be funny what you can find there. Although, there is some pretty sick stuff on there too, so if you have a weak stomach, it's probably best if you don't look too much.

One person I came across as I was randomly browsing the archives with this guy named David Thorne. He has a website called 27bslash6. Check it out if you enjoy humor because he has written some pretty hilarious e-mails to people in regards to different things. One good example of his humor is in the infamous "Spider E-mail". If you enjoy that, check out some of the others.
