My day has now been completely ruined, and I wasted money on stuff I don't need, like the return train ticket to Lostwithiel.
After getting into Looe and buying myself food for the youth project today, my left eye started hurting. After getting on the train, my left eye started to hurt even more. I risked going to Liskeard, hoping that by some dumb luck, it would stop hurting and that I could proceed to Lostwithiel. But it continued to hurt badly.
I texted Richard saying:
Ok. I'm at Liskeard now, however I think I'm going to return home again as my left eye is hurting bad. I'm not even sure why. Think I'll return to Looe and see if I can see the doctor right away. Hopefully, they can fix it and I can come in later. Sorry.
I managed to see the doctor shortly after arriving home and explained it to him. He took a look and told me I had conjunctivitis, then prescribed some eye drops and told me to use them twice a day and that that would probably last about three days. All I could think to myself at the time was, "Three days of this pain? Wonderful. Just what I needed to hear...".
I text Richard again while in the pharmacy collecting my epilepsy pill and these eye drops. I wrote:
Turns out I have conjunctivitus or something. Apparently gonna have to deal with it for 3-4 days. So, won't be in today as I'll be no help since I'll be no help. I'm so sorry about this. Is there any possible website work I could do so I'm not completely useless today?
Now, I just realised after reading that text that I wrote "as I'll be no help since I'll be no help." Why exactly did I start that twice? I have no idea!
I haven't received a call or a text from Richard. I think that's for one of two reasons. Either the O2 signal is once again dead in Lostwithiel, or he's annoyed with me for not turning up. I would mostly bet on the first, but you never know. He could be angry with me for not turning up. Would being in a lot of pain make someone angry that you never showed up?
I'm seriously hoping that it's just the signal has gone down again.
