Yesterday, I was browsing through a website which a friend had linked me, which had several humorous answer given on exams by students. While there, I noticed several links saying that Facebook was going to shut down. Although I didn't believe that (since there have been SO many articles like that in the past), I took a look. It stated that Facebook was going to shut down on March 15th, 2011. Here's the story from it's original source.
1000s of people appear to have taken the article seriously. A group has been started on Facebook with 2000+ users already joining it. I'm a little surprised that people still believe rumors like this since the Facebook shutting down rumor has been done so many times before. If it were really true, wouldn't Facebook itself sent out a message or post an article on their own website thanking users for using the site and stating that sadly they have to close? Don't take anything like this rumor seriously unless you actually see Facebook itself posting something on it's own site, ok?
