Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Now, I know that there are quite a few Resident Evil fans out there who are hating how the game is turning out so far. I had the game suggested to me on Amazon UK, so curious, I decided to check out demos/trailers of it on YouTube.

After reading the description of the game on Amazon, I realised I'd already heard of the game. In it, you play as an Umbrella operative, and you have the option of kill Leon S. Kennedy. It's clear from this that the game is NOT canon, and this is simply a "what if..." scenario.

Several comments on YouTube videos I've decided to check out are already saying the game is crap just because of the style. Basically, it's a third-person shooter...or as some people in the comments have called it - Resident Evil: Call of Duty. Never played Call of Duty myself, and I have no plans at all to do so. I do, however, want to play Operation Raccoon City. I love the old Resident Evil games, and this one looks interesting from what I've watched.

Here are some of the videos of the game that I have watched.

I bought two new games recently. The Adventures of Tintin - The Secret of the Unicorn, and Batman - Arkham City.

Tintin turned out to be a platformer game, and was pretty fun to play, although it was a pretty short game. Only took me about three hours to complete. I'm sure it would have taken a lot less if the game didn't freeze up several times on me. There was only one place in which that happened, and I'm not too sure why it kept freezing up in that area. You get into a fight on a bridge, it breaks; you go tumbling down a steep rocky surface, then fall into some water. Around it, there are several platforms with enemies on them. That is the area where the game continually froze up. I'm not 100% sure, but I think it may have something to do with how you knock out the enemies. The freeze ups tended to happen if I took out the guy on the far left of the screen, then dived back into the water to be able to sneak behind the only other guy carrying a gun in that area.

Someone will have to let me know if they've had the same freeze up, or if there's just something wrong with my copy of the game.

I'm not too far into Arkham City yet as I've been gliding around the city searching for side missions...just for fun! Definitely a great game though! A lot more fun that Asylum, which is a great game itself!
