Parrot - Executed

I am totally shocked by a picture and article that a friend had shared from another user on Facebook.

Although I won't be posting the picture here, I will post the article here for you all to read, and possibly share your thoughts on it.

The dog was named Parrot.
This was taken moments before Parrot was murdered by the cop. The cop drove his knee into the middle of Parrot's back while stretching Parrot's forelegs behind him, as one would do with an armed criminal. Without waiting to determine whether this technique would calm Parrot, the cop grabbed Parrot, lifted him off the ground, and brought him to the top of the concrete staircase.

He threw Parrot over the banister, down twelve steps, and onto the concrete floor. Then, the cop stood at the top of the stairs, drew his weapon, and executed Parrot. Aaron, the animal's owner, cannot recall the number of shots fired. Witnesses state that Parrot was not harming anybody and was simply frightened by the cop. At no time did Parrot try to bite the officer, all he did was start barking.

It doesn't matter if you are a part of an Occupy movement, PETA, Republican, Democrat, Independant Religious or not, if you are a part of the human race this should be a wake up call that something is very wrong with our society.

Isn't brutally killing animals something that most Serial Killers do right before they switch to killing humans?

I found some of the comments posted on this article even more shocking.

A lot of people, like myself, have posted comments saying they're completely disgusted with what the cop did. However, one guy, Andy Gray, had posted several comments sort of saying that the cop was right to do what he did. Just so you all can see, I'll post his comments (and some of the reactions to his comments).

Andy Gray sorry to be the one who says it but kill of be killed the dog showed some aggression, it seen him and as ANY dog Could have gone for for him and attacked him i love dogs but they are ALL wolves no matter what and can all bite and kill

Tamara So if a person shows "SOME AGGRESSION," he or she should shot rather than restrained?? DUMB!

Andy Gray but you cant tell what a dog will do . . . . a human is more predictable Humans are more "predictable"? I wouldn't say ANYONE is predictable. Humans are probably LESS predictable than any animal. Not sure if I'm alone on that thought, but that's what I think personally.

Tamara You must not know many people.

Shari ok so the cop held him now ok then why pick him up and throw him down the steps and shot him he was holding him why not get the owner or something thats un called for

Andy Gray no you just look at animals as cute things but reality they are wolves they will have no hesitation to bite if they feel they need to defend them selfs . . . . . thats why they have teeth

Tamara Humans make decisions, dogs are instinctual.. DUH!!!!

Shari parrot didnt deserve to die

Andy Gray i am not saying he deserved ! i love dogs i have dogs but you cant trust them fully. any dog could go beezerk, whats to say parrot couldnt of gone beezer after the owner calmed him down ?

Tamara Really, Do you know anything about Pitbulls?? Obviously NOT!! You CAN NOT shoot one in the head directly because like the alligator, there is a SMALL portion of the skull that can be penetrated ONLY.. Knowing this, one would question WHERE that BULLET COULD HAVE GONE?? Maybe into you?? Or me?? or a child?? Educate yourself before you wreck yourself.. Whoops.. Too late!

Shari RIP sweet parrot god bless you really really didnt deserve this to happen to you and i hope something gets done abt it

Andy Gray shari - well that dog could of been put on a leesh then it pull away and go for someone and once its got a hold of anyones neck then it gets shot. is it now right to shoot the dog ?

Tamara - yeah i know alot about pitbulls . . . . my mums mate rescues staffy bull which the american pit bull is bread from but the american pit bull is an illegal breed where i am from becasue in there nature of it. im quite sure that if i bullet was shot to its head no bone in the world could stop a bullet i do anatomy and physiology and no bone can stop a bullet

I am only saying the cop might of though the dog would turn on him after he treated it (not saying it was the best way to treat the situation) but maby he knew dogs are aggressive animals and will bite

Tamara Point well taken.. But holding this dog down and clearly over reacting is what the issue is in the USA right now.. Where you are from, the police DO NOT CARRY GUNS>.. Enough said.

It's amazing to think that anyone could say that the cop was doing the right thing when he threw the dog down the stairs and shot it. How is it right? Someone please explain how mercilessly killing anything is "right"...
