Plenty of Quiet Fish

It's been such a weird week so far.

Since about Sunday, I've been signing into the dating website Plenty Of Fish. I've messaged several people on that site and even talked to one of them. But it amazes me that so many people on that site are unwilling to talk. Except for one person, I haven't had any messages on there. Two other people have messaged me, but they never answered any of my questions. Instead, the replies were basically "No thanks" messages. Is it so hard for people to talk on these sites? It's not like I've been asking them, "Do you want to date me?". Instead, I'm just trying to get to know more about them. So much for that, though.

What amazes me even more about these sites are the women who complain that there are no nice guys left out there, that they're always getting cheated on, and all this. However, when a nice guy messages them, they completely ignore the guy. Why? Is it because I'm not the best-looking guy in the world? I doubt I'm ugly, but I'm not a great-looking guy. I know that. So, why is no one giving me a chance? Why is no one willing to talk to me?

Anyway, enough about the dating site websites. Hopefully, there are people out there who understand what I mean by this.

Tuesday was a rather sad day. I arrived at the youth project and discovered we were working on another raised bed. For what? Richard's cat, Coco. I was told by him that Coco was terminally ill and that the raised bed was for her. Later in the day, he brought Coco back to the woodlands. In the time he was away from the house, Coco sadly died. So, just like Muffin, his elderly dog, she is now buried in the woodlands.

It's sad that over the past 9-10 months, I've had to experience the deaths of three of Richard's pets. I know - it's worse for Richard, who's had these animals for years. But it's sad to me, too, because I got to know the animals, and seeing them die is depressing, even if I'm not the owner.

Anyway, rest in peace, Coco. I hope you'll be treated well in the afterlife.

On Saturday, I got a package from Amazon UK containing three volumes of The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones on DVD and also an external hard drive. I badly needed the hard drive because my computer's hard drive was getting extremely full. Since this computer cannot write onto DVDs, I figured a large external hard drive would help clear the pictures, music and videos off my computer.
