Northern Lights

Sadly, I never got to see them. Mom boyfriend, Sean, was telling me about them, and was saying that he was told by several people that they would be visible from the UK at about 3:20. I got over to the Wooldown to get away from all the lights since that was one recommended place to view them from. However, there was nothing. It was a huge no show. At about 4:00, I left and went back home. I would've stayed out there longer, but I got really freaked out.

Why?

I was stood alone in that field for about 30 minutes, and then I noticed this figure standing just a few feet away from me. It never moved. It just appeared to be looking at me. I left to another back of the field. About 10 minutes after that, I heard growling and snarling, and a rustle from the bushes. I immediately left the field, totally freaked out.

I'm sure some people are going to tell me that it's only visible from Alaska, and certain places in the USA, and not in the UK. But, when I got home, I looked it up on the net. A UK newspapers site (The Mail) had pictures and info posted about it being visible in the UK, but no reports of it in the UK...yet. So, it wasn't just a rumor from some random pub customers. Not sure if anyone in the UK managed to see it though. I know I didn't get to see it, which is sad because I was really looking forward to seeing it.

If anyone reading this from the UK saw them, could you please comment, especially if you have pictures of it that I can see.
